Repeating Components

  • Access the Subcomponents tab of a component (e.g., Layout Stacked), select the child component, set its repetition, and select the array.

  • After setting the repetition, a new Item Name text box displays. This item is the name of the subtree necessary for repeated data mapping.

  • Finally, it is recommended to rename the item.

Note  The renamed subtree is available for the repeated component and its subcomponents.

  • By default, the item's name is taken from the parent component's name. When you repeat the child of Layout Stacked 1, the item is automatically called ItemLayoutStacked1. It is strongly recommended to rename the item to a more descriptive name.

  • Rename the item to a name containing a repeated array's name. For example, if an array is called Types, rename it to TypesItem. However, you can rename the item to anything you prefer.

  • The Array Name field can contain any array which can be selected in the current context (defined by the Data | Records By and by the upper levels repetitions), or you can type any array value.

  • The Item Name field can be set to any value. When mapping the variables, the item name is very important because all the repeated variables must be mapped to it in order to work correctly.
